The course has been created by leading designer Kyle Phillips. Kyle has designed courses on every continent including three of the world's top 100. The course is a trailblazer in environmentally sustainable golf design and is operated by Troon Privé. The first 9 holes were opened in August 2019. The full 18-hole course will open in the summer of 2020.
The golf course at Albatross GolfResort occupies an area of more than 80 hectares (197,684 acres) and is situated on a hillside bordering the Czech Karst Nature Reserve. With an altitude of 420 metres above sea level it benefits from a micro-climate and enjoys one of the longest golf seasons in central Europe.
