Two Golf Courses, One Exceptional Destination

The Somabay Championship Course, designed by Gary Player, is the centrepiece of the destination. The 18-hole course blends naturally into the coastal and desert landscape and offers varied playing conditions with impressive Red Sea views. The golf experience will expand with the Hidden Coves Golf Course, designed by Lobb + Partners. Scheduled to open fully in January 2027, the new 18-hole course will feature natural elevation changes, dramatic terrain and panoramic coastal scenery.

Once completed, Somabay will offer 36 holes, making it suitable for individual golfers, private groups, golf professionals, academies, tournaments and training holidays. 

Professional Training Facilities

The Somabay Golf Academy makes the destination particularly attractive for golfers wishing to improve their game.

Facilities include a driving range, a 5,000-square-metre Short-Game Arena, dedicated putting, chipping and bunker areas, and a floodlit nine-hole Par-3 Academy Course. These facilities support private coaching, group clinics, academy weeks, golf trips with professionals and intensive training programmes. Beginners and accompanying guests can also discover golf in a relaxed environment. 

Stay at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay

The Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay offers an elegant beachfront setting only a few minutes from the golf facilities.
